A 70-acre off-leash dog bluff above Hendry's Beach — Santa Barbara's most beloved coastal open space.
Saved from development in the 1990s with help from Michael Douglas, the Douglas Family Preserve is 70 acres of bluff-top open space above Arroyo Burro Beach. Wide gravel paths loop through Monterey cypress, eucalyptus, and grasslands with stunning ocean and Channel Island views. Dogs run off-leash. Sunset here is a daily SB ritual.
