🦭 Wildlife
A dramatic, hard-to-reach beach below towering bluffs — one of the wildest coastal spots in California.
Point Sal State Beach sits at the end of a rugged hike off Brown Road south of Guadalupe. The trail drops down through coastal scrub to a wide, empty beach beneath cliff faces, with sea-lion colonies, dolphins offshore, and Channel Island views on clear days. The vehicle road has been closed for years — this is a foot-only experience.
🌟 Why Locals Love It
It feels like Big Sur without the crowds. On a weekday you may have miles of beach to yourself.
