💎 Hidden Gem

Cult-favorite Rancho Cucamonga hike to a seasonal waterfall — short, rocky climb with big payoff.

The Etiwanda Falls Trail climbs about 800 feet up a rocky wash from the north end of Rancho Cucamonga into the foothills, ending at a seasonal waterfall that runs strongest after winter storms. It's one of the most popular short hikes in the IE.

🌟 Why Locals Love It

It's the IE's easiest "real waterfall" hike — close to home, no Adventure Pass needed.

What to Expect

Rocky single-track, exposed sun, families with kids on weekends.

💡 Good to Know Before You Go

Park on the street near the trailhead; weekends fill up early. Dogs allowed on leash.

📍 Local Tip

Go after a wet week; the falls are dry by late summer most years.

Best Time to Visit

January–April for waterfall flow.
