The PCT winds through both IE counties — from the desert near Cabazon up over San Jacinto and across the San Bernardino Mountains.

The Pacific Crest Trail crosses both Riverside and San Bernardino counties on its way north from Mexico to Canada. Inland Empire segments include the climb out of the desert near Cabazon, the long traverse across Mount San Jacinto, the descent into San Gorgonio Pass, and the route across the San Bernardino Mountains. Multiple trailheads give IE hikers easy day-hike or thru-hike access.
